Population and household projection for the Landkreis Schaumburg (2022)

The Landkreis Schaumburg is located in the centre of the Bundesland Lower Saxony, west of Hanover. The district is divided into 38 towns and municipalities and has a population of around 160,000. To support regional development and planning, S&W has conducted a population and household forecast for the towns and municipalities in the district up to the year 2040. The forecast results enable administration and politics to act with foresight instead of having to react to developments retrospectively.

A special feature is that the methodological approach and the model assumptions were coordinated with the districts of Hameln-Pyrmont, Holzminden and Nienburg/Weser as well as the Regional Association Greater Brunswick, for which S&W prepared comparable forecasts at the same time.
